At the 9th-floor outdoor garden of CELEO KOKUBUNJI – designed and built by Green Wise and currently maintained by our team – we held a special event titled “Plant Adoption Day – Take Home a Memory from the Outdoor Garden!”
During the event, visitors were invited to freely take home plants from the garden.

This initiative was organised to give new life to plants that were scheduled for removal due to upcoming renovation work of the roof garden. Rather than discarding them, we created an opportunity for them to be passed on and cared for. A total of 97 groups, approximately 200 people, participated in the event.

Guests enjoyed the “plant gathering” in their own ways – some dug up Enkianthus shrubs from the roots with large shovels, while others tied freshly cut Rhododendron branches into bouquet-like bundles.
Some visitors shared that they had observed these plants in the garden beforehand, and felt a strong connection to them, saying that’s why they wanted to “adopt” and care for them.

We are truly grateful that these beloved plants, full of memories, were not discarded but instead found new homes, where they will continue to thrive.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back when the renewed outdoor garden returns as a restful gathering place for the community.
